I was down In Pinellas county Saturday. So in the morning I stooped by a spot in town near a creek that had recently been cleared. Didn't turn up to much found one 1950 wheaty and a 64 memorial. I left and finished up some work I had to do and headed back to North FL. When I got back I still had a few hours to kill so I went to the old lumber camp and started hunting. Well after a couple hours I had found a few odds and ends. A small windup key, part of a pocket knife etc. Daylight and battery's were fading fast so I started working toward the truck down a trail. About a hundred feet from the truck I got a good coin tone off to one side of a piece of iron and pulled out a 1901 Indian head. Well I had to hunt some more now so I went to the truck and grabbed the extra battery pack and went back to the same spot and started working the trail again. Went about 20 feet and got another good tone. This time I pull out the little pad lock about the size of a thumb nail. I'm thinking it must be out of a gum ball machine. Its about dark so I put in my pocket and head home . I get here and look at it under the light and It says .925 T & CO 1837. I go to the Tiffany's web site and it says they sell these gum ball machine locks for 125.00 . http://www.tiffany.com/shopping/item.aspx?sku=21832731&mcat=148204&page=4&menu=1&cid=130444 Talk about paying for a name . But like I always say if its free I'll take three and in the jewelry box it goes. Good luck all. HH
