I've been in the process of restoring/cleaning my Timex Dynabeat watch I picked up at the Sunday flea market for 20.00.

So far I've cleaned the outer housing, polished the band links, crystal, chrome bezel and back cover. A new battery has been ordered and I'm in the process of buying a new band so I can wear it.

A thanks is in order to Baglady who identified the band as Zuni.

I'll post more pictures when I get the band and watch working

I'd say there is a 60 40 chance the watch won't work with a new battery... I bought 5 Timex electric watches and not one has worked even with a clean battery contact. Thing with these watches was that the electrical components give out over time even without corrosion. Hopefully it will work looks like a nice watch but if doesn't don't be surprised! I just bought a Mintron LED watch from 1970 or so in NOS condition and I won't be surprised if it didn't work lol
