Got out today for a few hours and did pretty good! 1847 large, couple of wheats and good for tokens but my favorite find of the day was the tiniest cannon I've ever seen!!! Just starting to take out the beans around here!! 1 pewter spoon bowl and one sterling!!
Congrats on your toy cannon.
Not many ever posted up on this side of the pond. Great hunt!

I have my cherished toy, I put it on a One Cent for reference.

Looks alot like the one I recovered today , I have one found 3 in over 10 years , must be fairly rare!

I have seen some found on YouTube channels over in England but yours is the first I've seen posted here. The guys over there had little trunnions made for theirs. So they could display it better.

Those are nice finds.

The guys in England had friends with those CNC machines that made the carriages for thiers. They turned out real good. You can Google up tiny carriage for cannon I seen some on there.

They are a cool find, we get a few over here but rarer over there.
Much rarer are the Petronel's;
The earliest type goes back to the late 16th C (not had one of those yet). Not seen any posted on Tnet yet......
