Native Americans often utilized bone as much as possible but also used stone when carving. The bottom row shows points that have tips that were designed for intricate carving in soft wood. Primarily, these were used for carving paddles for paddle stamped ceramic wares found in the Swift Creek and Weeden Island cultures.

Look at the 3rd row from the bottom on the far right side of the frame. Those 3 points on the end have tips that were broken during the carving process. They would have looked like the tips on the bottom row or the sharp pointed tip in the center of the frame if they were not broken.
