collect them only as 50's kitsch..if that is you thing then fine...just do not confuse them with anything REMOTELY native american or artifact related. The form lines are in no way of any tribal tradition. Much like the Seattle Seahawks emblem isn't either.

I was just in Juneau a couple of weeks back, and they look like tourist items still for sale. I bought a box of smoked salmon that had a similar design on cedar wood for $40 (but it came with smoked salmon.)

Like Uncle Mac said, they might have kitsch appeal but not as artwork or artifacts. If you really want an opinion, just email a picture of them and the story to any of the galleries in Seattle or Vancouver. (Google Northwest Coast Art, Tlingit Art Gallery, etc. to find a gallery.)
