To NC detectors, anybody hunt Pamlico beach?

Hello all,

I am in NC due to the wildfires, been here a couple months and itching to go detecting on my days off. I am kind of close to Pamlico beach and am just curious if it is open to hunting? Thanks for any info. I may try to get down to Atlantic beach or Emerald Isle, but Pamlico Beach intrests me.

Pretty funny I found pictures of this beach it was hopping in the 50s. Finally looked at satallite photos and now it has houses all over it.
