Well I hit the beach today for the -tide. Got there about an hour early and spores some areas I wanted to check. Didn't find much in the way of jewlery except one ring I thought was junk. But a scrach test shows gold color. But the 10k gold test failed. I might try electrolysis. The find of the day was a 1937 indian head nickel in darn good condition. image.jpg image.jpg

Very nice nickel, I heard that nickels do not corrode the way they do in the dirt on sand due to less minerals, is true?? I think that dry sand would be best, for it has no minerals. Wet sand would probably ruin them. Very nice day at the beach.
