Well sort of. I stopped at one of my typical Tuesday stops a day early since I don't think I will make it tomorrow.

Finally got my first V Nickel of the year, a 1912-D. Only took 216,249 nickels to find one (about 108 boxes). :P

From the same $100 bag of nickels I also ended up with:
21 pre-1960 Jefferson (1938, 1940, 1940-S, 1946, 1947(2), 1948, 1949, 1951-D, 1952(2), 1953, 1954-D, 1955-D, 1956, 1956-D, 1957-D, 1958-D(2), 1959-D(2))

7 Canadian (1985, 1993, 1998, 1999, 2002-P, 2006-P, 2007-RCM)

1 Foreign (Austria, 5 Euro Cents (2002))

1 PGA Tour Partner Club Token

I did a quick edge search of the bag of dimes since I am short time tonight and might cash them in tomorrow (if I get a chance).

Ended up with
3 pre-1965 Roosevelt (1950-S, 1963-D, 1964-D)

13 Canadian (1972, 1975, 1976(2), 1978, 1980, 1981, 1987, 1988, 2001-P, 2004-P, 2007-RCM(2))

2 Foreign (Argentina, 10 Centavos (1992), Great Britain, 5 Pence (1992)

3 Quarters

7 pennies

Finding the 1950-S leaves me with 6 left to complete the pre-1965 Roosevelt dime set and 18 left to complete it in 2007.

1912 d was my first V nickel I found metal detecting. Are you going crosseyed after looking at over 200k nickels?

No, I don't have any problem with the reading dates on coins, though I typically do them in good light.

Besides, I would guess the approx. 575,000 pennies were tougher on my eyes than the nickels, smaller dates.

I would also bring up dimes which are smaller dates still, but about a quarter to a half of those were edge searched only. (231,000 dimes total)

When I was a teenager I went through a bag of 5000 wheats I had bought and looked at every coin under a microscope for errors like double and triple punched mint marks and other errors. I found some really neat ones and actually made decent money on them. I also found some of the 1955 "poor man" double dies. I applaud your patience and tenacity, great job...Ryan

Went through the $25 bag of pennies last night except for the error search part and finished the that part tonight.
