Hey Des, interesting find.......glad it didn't find you.
I've found 3 of the same type, spring-loaded, and all set. Stepped into the first one, in the middle of an orchard,
but it was rusted open......scared the ____ out of me. Next two I didn't step in/on, but found them on old trails.
They had been camouflaged, but so one could see them. I sprung both of them, pulled them up, and put them into
my backpack. It is against the law here in S. Korea to employ them....yeh, right.
Also found many of the noose-type traps......the deer or rabbit runs into them, and they tighten up and choke the
animal. Even found a rabbit in one of them.....dead and frozen stiffer than a board.
Again, I am really glad that you weren't "bitten" by that fanged mangler. that would hurt.
yes here they are banned also, they were the normal opussum and rabbit traps of the 60s...they are shokers really and cause a slow death to animals..but they are still lying in wait but mostly they have rusted and seized up this one was..thanks for your comment..des
