I decided to go today, to see what was left behind in an absolutely pounded old park.
BUT, not JUST find the ever present clad, etc. I was bound and determined to prove that
even hunted out parks still harbor goodies.
Now, I KNOW for a fact that this park has been pounded and for many, many years! Not
only that but it really is a large, open field that's used mostly for sports. It's situated in a
very historical land though. I have found everything from colonial to the modern day items.
I also know it's been pounded because I happen to be
one of the ones who did the pounding!
Now, it's true that I truly don't expect old stuff anymore, even though it still has a way of
showing up here. Still, there's the aspect of it being an active park so there's always a chance
at bling.
Here's the trash I dug:
All that in about 4 hours too. I was a busy lil digger!
But, some of you who know the reasons why this type trash, can tell
what sort of mission I was on.
Here's the rest:
Obviously, I didn't ignore big iron. I'd wager
that if anyone looked. When I pulled this
bolt out of the ground, a small piece of China
fell into the ocean.
The dome-like thing and the little dove came out
of the same hole. I haven't a clue how they're related.
The whole wheat toast was completely overdone.
About 10 minutes into the hunt, I got this signal.
In among a VERY trashy area. But, like I said,
I was on a mission.
I could see it was an earring but, more than that
I suspect some silver there.
The post on this is magnetic but none of the rest of
the piece. I suspect surgical steel for the post but the
rest? Well, I'm not sure yet.
In any case, it did my heart good to see a piece of bling, any bling,
so early in the mission. I had only hoped that I would see
bling in this mission. This proved me right. It's still there!
Didn't get much else through the rest of the walk UNTIL,
I was worn out from all the digging and headed "toward the car".
Then, I got this solid low tone. Same as ANY of the pulltabs I'd
been pulling all day. Only this time!
AHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Mission Accomplished!!!!
It's been for freakin' ever since I'd seen it come out
of the ground, but, there was absolutely no mistaking
what I had uncovered.
G - O - L - D !!!!!!
I sat back and just basked in the glow for a while. LOL
It was extremely windy, blustery, cold outside today. But
for these few moments. I was very, very warm. All the tired
left, the discomfort too. I was going to be and still am a very
happy camper!
Mind you, it was a tough day! But, I wouldn't trade it in, now.
Poor Blingie. He's laboring under a delusion that this
one is his! LOL
Thanks for stopping by, I hope the trip was worth something to you.
