Looks good. I'm guessing since your new to the hobby you use the preset programs.
Use the coin/jewlery program. Bump the ac sence up till as high as it will go 85. If it's unstable like chattering turn it down a few notches to like 80.
If it holds strong at 85 leave it there. Put the threshold on 10. Turn the preamp up to 4.
And turn tone i.d on.
That will make it more sensitive and it will go deeper.
You basically want to master the tone's and the numbers before you try and learn this beast.
It can be a very tough detector to master. One wrong adjustment throws it's stability off a ton.
I have a little yard, but I am hoping that it will produce something good over time as I learn to get my XLT to get a little deeper. The land is pretty old, and sits right next to a church built in the 1860's. This is the third church in it's place and the original was built in the 1600's!
Your own yard is the best place to learn. You are never pressed to keep moving, and can go real slow, not only learning the machine, but also you recovery methods.
