Started in a pretty wide creek that leads to the Ohio river at 8 this morning and stopped at 3, got nothing real valuable but got some good variety so it was a good day with my friends. Also stopped in some different yards of people we know along the way. We took out piles and piles of trash as well and would have my dad meet us at certain places in his truck to haul it all off. Here's the haul for the day:
1) real badly stained ball jar
2) a blank medicine with some tar kind of stuff on the inside, had a cork in it when we found it
3) broken glass that I liked even though it's broken
4) some kind of pot?
5) over 70 mason jar lids (zinc and porcelain)
6) rusted ring, probably from farm equipment
7) some kind of old knob that I though had silver on it at first
8) lip stick tube with lipstick still inside
9) broken "California fig syrup" medicine
10) broken something? Thought it was a marble when I saw it but I have no idea now, it's very thick
11) 2 pieces of broken china
12) lucky horse shoe
13) second knife of the year, even after heavy cleaning it won't close, it's very cheap
14) boy scout emblem, says "strengthen the arm of liberty" on it
15) necklace, thought it was gold but there's no markings, any ideas?
16) 12 and 20 gage shot gun shells
17) some clad and a wheatie
18) 4 marbles
19) arrow head
20) usable scissors! Practically brand new
Thanks for looking any input on what you think something is is greatly appreciated! Thanks again!

Your half marble (blue/white) with a hole looks to be half of a spindle whorl used for making yarn for a loom. The other piece with a hole in it could also possibly be a spindle whorl. I don't see many of those found in the USA, if ever. HH, Mike

I think that's what it must be, I found that detecting not in a creek and the whole area was farm land in the early 1900's

That pocket knife is a recent Gerber Paraframe stainless steel. I just got one last year! You have to push in on the little metal bar right below the hinge to get it to close. It's a nice sharp knife. Holds an edge well. Only worth about $20 new, though. Check out Gerber's website for folding knives: Gerber Knives Folding-Blade

Why don't you take more pics, of the Boy Scout thing, front and back and post in the what is it section? Liberty was a big deal in WW1,Liberty trucks, liberty drives etc. Might be rare & worth a few bucks. Good Karma for the trash clean up. Good luck.
