Went out to one of our parks with two ponds after work for an hour or so. I wanted to swing around the spring house. Thought it might be a good area.

Didn't find much, only a bit of a small petal bell.

Went down to the pond by a large pine tree. Thought all I'd get were fishing lures. To My surprise, I found 4 bullets, two dimes, two sinkers, a lure, some type of small pully, and a couple other trash items.

The bullets, I measured their diameter.

Dimes and small pully.

On the way in, my wife found a multi-tool. She didn't even have a metal detector! Someone must have dropped it recently, looks new.

I don't think your bullets are actually bullets, but instead are bullet style fishing weights. Check if there is a small hole going all the way through them. I also dont see rifling marks or crimp marks from the casing. I could be wrong but I am a fisherman and hunter and they look more like weights.

I do see rifling on the first one after looking closer but the others still look like bullet weights. Nice score on the multi-tool.

There are no holes all the way through. Just a dimple at the top and bottom. They are missing the taper at the bottom too, they look like muzzleloader bullets. Which makes sense to me with the smaller .30 being coated. I have a box of those for my muzzleloader. They are plastic coated with no need for a sabot.

I don't think any of them were fired. The one that looks like it has rifle marks in just dinged. More like tooth marks.

But, the sizes are strange. Never saw a .38 muzzleloader. Or .35 for that matter. Maybe they make them, I never looked. I do own a .50 and .30. Both modern muzzleloaders.

After soaking all day, I was able to see holes all the way through. So they are bullet weights. Neat!
