Today's Finds (Proof Nickel, AU 1938, and Nazi: 1 Pfennig)
These are the finds from today's box of nickels: 1938 XF-AU Jefferson (maybe some of you can give me your opinion on the condition), 1992 S Jefferson Proof (my 1st proof Nickel), and a 1943 P War Nickel.
The 1 Pfennig was a neat find from my wife. She is a 1st grade teacher and runs the school bookstore. Since my return to CRHing she has brought me the change to sort / go through / roll. This find was definitely worth the penny I traded to the bookstore for it. My father is a German immigrant and he was really happy to see this find. It will also be cool to show to my students, we will be covering WWII very soon. The reverse features the German eagle clutching a swastika, unfortunately only the obverse pic turned out well. It is significantly smaller than a US Penny.
Thanks for looking,
Karl
