I finally made out for a hour hunt today. ladies and getlemen, its HOT here in Georgia. The ground was like cement, but I had a productive dig. 2.97 in clad (10 quarters) a button from a jacket and RING!!!! It is missing the stone and I think it is silver plated at best I can't seem to find a hallmark. The funny thing, it rang out like a nickel so I'm thinking gold but no such luck. Any idea what the base metal would be to have a low conductivity? HH Everyone!!!

Really this ring looks like junk to me, no hallmark. Just wanted to know about the base metal that would be of low conductivity.
