Just remember, anything you pull out of the ground - saves a little bit of history before it is all lost forever. Nice finds.

Maybe you didn't find much, but you were swinging & digging! And next time may be much better! :icon_thumright:

I had a comedic day today with my machine -- it was last couple of hours of visit by Virginia daughter & grandsons, so we headed for small beach, joined by California daughter & son with his detector. My hubby immediately began napping on beach as he thinks we're nuts to love this hobby so much! I showed older grandson how to use my machine while my son got the other grandson detecting with his. Then I forayed to nearby motels to get sodas & water for this thirsty crew, as the beach snack bar was prematurely closed! I was hoping to rejoin them soon and detect awhile myself, but the soda search became weirdly complex, with final result using my Visa card on a soda machine! (Hope the bank doesn't add an additional $5 charge for each soda, grrr.) Well, by the time I returned clutching a sweatshirt full of cold sodas, an hour had elapsed and the younger generations had sent out a search team to find me, due to my having a damaged knee and some bad falls in the past. When they saw me, hey chewed me out! But drank the sodas, lol.
:tongue3: They were finished with detecting, having found one bottle cap and one charm. So we headed to the upper grassy beach area to frisbee, hula-hoop, & enjoy the gorgeous bay views over large rugged coastline.

Meager is relative: at least you didn't just find pull-tabs. I have those days sometimes.
