I got more rolls today, haha, gosh I have too much free time. I got $250 in dimes, $250 in quarters, and $50 in nickels.

Nickels:
1940 - 2
1940-S
1941
1942
1943-S - Silver War Nickel
1947
1947-D
1953
1953-D - 2
1954
1954-D - 2
1956-D
1958-D - 4
1959-D - 2
1960's - 30 total, not including 1964 which I don't keep anymore
Dimes:
1964-D Silver Roosevelt

Quarters:
ZIP!

2 Silvers on the day, so I'm happy with that. What surprised me was that I found NO foreign coins, which is a first for me.

Today i hit up $100 in quarters and $200 in dimes.

I got a 1953-D rosie and a caymen islands 5 "lobster" or whatever currency they have in the dimes

out of the quarters i was teased by a 50 centavo from honduras (with a silver looking reeded edge)

My first non-canadian foreign coins from roll searching.

Was fun!

More tomorrow =).

War-time nickels were made from 1942-1945...Unless they started making them of a silver alloy sometime in the middle of the year (which they may have), your 1942 would be a war-time nickel as well, wouldn't it?

Hi guys,

Your right Snee War Time Nickles are one of my favorite coins. They minted them from 1942-1945 with 35% silver in them. So you really have 3 silver coins bscofield6 Great finds guys, you too Hothgar !

From my understanding, some 42's were not silver. I know i have some that look totally different and i dont count them as silver when i get them.

1942 and 1942-D were regular nickels. 1942-P and 1942-S were silver war nickels.

So the 1942 is not silver.... Although I wish it were because I find the regular 1942 all the time... so sad for me,haha.
