I found this saloon token in my yard, and it matches one on the token catalog here RECEPTION / MOISE S.F. (TC-79649). Here is an excerpt from the historical society in OR whom I contacted about with some info:

We don't have directories for Pendleton prior to the 1940's. I did a search of the Oregonian newspaper and found mentions of Reception Saloon in LaGrande, Oregon not too far from Pendleton in 1898, a Reception Saloon in Portland in 1894, and another in 1913, and a Reception Saloon in Newport Oregon on the coast in 1904.

There was also mention of a Reception Saloon in Nome Alaska in 1905.

If anybody else has info or ideas that would be great. If its the same maker it found its way 1800 miles to my yard!

That is a nice token.
I am just a dummy here, but if that were a business like a saloon wouldn't it also have an address, or say No Cash value, or Good For 5 Cents Trade?
Now, I'm really batting at the wind...Suppose Carol and Henry had a wedding reception in your town?? Still I feel there is a lot of missing information business for a token.

Now I see there is fine print at the bottom of the RECEPTION side. I can't zoom in on it. What does it say?

I am responding to the reply asking for an id. on the above token inscription in small letters. I believe this refers to lionel moise S. F. (abrev.) I Hope this helps and lettering is for moise only.
