IMG_4202.jpg found what I think is a tombac button about 3-4 inches deep, I cleaned up best I could at moment. It also looks like some letters near the shank. But it hard to tell. It about size of a penny. Any input ? Tombac or not? Or time era . Thanks

Its a normal plated flat button, not a tombac. Circa 1830.
