Went out for an early hunt today. I spent many hours digging junk but was determined to find something good. I stuck with it and finally found two silver rings. Thanks for looking and happy hunting.
Pulling up Gold and Silver "every time" you go out hunting is a myth propagated by youtube. What you have there is pretty typical of a normal outing. I have seen worst. "Worst" is most likely the norm.
Congratulations on your finds. Judging by the fishing sinkers, you have made your beach area cleaner. That makes it nicer for everyone. Plus you will find less trash each time you cover it. I've done hundreds of rustic campsites. Lots of clad, dozens of tent pegs, one tiny silver ring, tons of fun. It's all part of the game.
As for the trash, it's just part of the game. The good guys say to dig it all, especially at older spots. I do fairly well compared to the others in my area. I attribute it to digging more holes. More holes increase the probability of a score. Every once in a while a co-located (trash+treasure) target will appear to reward your efforts.
Nice rings. I do that too. I go out and dont come back till I found what I went for, like a ring. I have learned not to dig any more trash than I have too. But if you find yourself short of trash, just let me know. I can show you some great spots for trash. Like pic nic tables and trash cans.
Thanks everyone. To be honest this was one of my smallest trash days. I usually dig a lot more but since I have hit this particular place a few times it has become less. This month has been great for rings, I have dug more gold and silver than the last 12 months combined. HH
