A beautiful Friday in the Ozarks translates to garage sales in every nearby community. At one of the sales, there was an older, standing tool chest with a paper sign, "$3.00 any tool." I usually look in such collections specifically for firearms-related tools and parts. Today it paid off...I found two genuine antique Winchester Repeating Arms Company .38 WCF caliber tools. One is a bullet mold, the other a bullet assembly tool, patented November 7, 1882! The kind seller accepted $5.00 for both.
I am very excited to have two pieces of American "wild west" firearms history. Both pieces cleaned up very nicely and function flawlessly. Not bad for 130 years old! Best part is they are as usable today as they were in 1882. So, check your tool boxes and happy hunting to all. Sub
