Our Roman Villa field has been deep ploughed this is the first time it's been ploughed in two years but it's not being kind to us To trips in perfect conditions has seen us struggling, no Roman Silver have shown and not that many Bronzes
The Hammered counts up to 9 in two visits, which isn't bad. The first Hammered showed today at 2.15pm and by the end of play 4 were in the bag Best find of the day turned out to be a Silver Cross which I think is Medieval what's unusually about this cross is it has a figure on the back as well never seen this before
The afternoon was certainly the best part of the day, I had another Silver find...a Brooch, think this probably Victorian or Edwardian, although there are no makers marks a unusual Bronze Brooch with what looks like a little enameling left, and a Silvered back
