Hunted the last three days at this site with some good finds. Today Marinedad joined me for the afternoon.
We hunted for about 4 hours, I found 3 or 4 wheaties right away and was comparing targets back and forth
with Mark. The wheaties just didn't show up as a solid target, the readings were some what lower to jumpy.
Once I knew what to listen for I've been pulling alot of them (59 YTD) from this site. As we were working are
way back I picked up a strong signal near a large tree, Silver quarter and I could see right away it was a 32
but couldn't see the mint mark so I called Mark over to look. NO mint mark another teaser silver. Finished the
day with a pouch full of alum., bullets, shell casings, shotgun heads, copper wire, pulltabs, 7 Wheaties and
the washington quarter. Did bring the camera with today and took a pic of the site as it looks today. HH DFW

I think you've got enough wheats there to constitute for a sheaf :laughing9: good job and a nice silver to go with it!

Wonderful hunt Rich. . . those woods look soooo inviting for silver :)

A lot of times the oxidation "crust" will skew the VDI signals slightly on those coppers.
It always pays to dig those skewed signals that are sometimes relatively deeper than the trash.

BTW- If you were at this spot yesterday, we were only about 10 mins from you.

Re: Tourist camp hunt #9

Site looks to have been filled in along the front, still looking for the picnic grounds.
Finding a few old aluminum HAMMS beer cans that you had to use a can opener to open.
