She said she plans a nominal opening bid of $100,000, which is a starting point for an auctioneer.

The sale will include:

- U.S. post office boxes and a Union Wireless cellular tower with lease, which also produces income.

- Five buildings, including a three-bedroom home, a 1905 schoolhouse that has been used as an office, a garage and a 1900s cabin used as a tool shed.

- About 10 acres of land.

- A parking area.

The auction will take bidders from those at the site as well as those who bid online at

Well if that is beautiful downtown Buford, I'd hate to see uptown :tongue3: A little too close to the highway for my liking too

there has to be some cool stuff buried, the place looks a little small for 2k

Buford was established during the construction of the Transcontinental Railroad in Wyoming. At this time the town boasted a population of 2000 itinerant workers. As the railroad progressed, these workers moved west with the railroad; Buford has shrunk ever since. In 1880 a post office was built.

I like how the Buford signs population says 1 :laughing7:

I guess the winning bidder could not only be the mayor, chief of police, the judge, and the hangman!!!!! :laughing7:

Would be pretty cool to own, but don't think much would be found anyway, with all the asphalt laying all over the ground.

Historically, it would be cool to own, but for business wise. You wouldn't get much buyers coming in unless they are down the road from you and they are desperate for something!

The good thing of it is if one owned it. Think of all the FUEL you would be able to buy in bulk and save you boat loads of money on fuel costs!!!
