toy small airplane

[Seabee]

Found this small airplane in Henry County, Georgia. It was in back of an old farm house. The rear porch has been missing for years and the back door is boarded up. surrounding this house is quite a bit of land and a few other houses located in the nearby area. I recieved permission to hunt them so it seems as if I will be busy.

It's great finding stuff like planes. Something not quite so ordinary.
The P-38 lightning was the plane flown in WW2 by americas highest scoring ace of all time, Richard Bong.

Nice find. I don't know if you have ever heard the story of the P-38 that was found in 10+ feet of ice and was recovered and restored. The aircraft was found and restored by a local to me businessman named Shoffner. The aircraft is flyable now and has been flown some. The aircraft and museum are here in Middlesboro, Kentucky. Nuts that someone would take such a venture to go far away and get that aircraft, but in the end I guess it worked out.
