Welcome. The BH Tracker IV is an awesome first machine. I had it and it served me well. In my opinion its just as good as a machine several hundred dollars more just without the bells and whistles, which are not needed by a beginner anyway. Learn the sounds and it will treat you well. If you make it to the beach it will work great on the dry sand too.
