Well now what a surprise.. this treasure was left at our door step over night, and checking the mail this morning I nearly stumbled over it.. But wait, this thing was heavy too.. I picked it up and brought it in and set it on in the living room floor..

Appears to be either sand stone or a pale marble.. Not sure what it was used for.. and I may end up set it out in our back yard as part of our zen garden.

Thanks Mama.. Thou I would have preferred it being black for the garden.. again never look a gift horse in the mouth.. This isn't the only time we've had "things" placed on our porch.. Once it was a low powered microscope.. So I could look at my rocks.. Thou I have told neighbors in the area, never throw anything away until they let me look at it first..

Hi OurJeepLife, I should really know this but not sure. First thing I thought was Alabaster...so many different kinds. ?? Ask EU_Citizen...:)

How "zen" that people just drop off nice things onto your front porch...:) Looks "Ying and Yang"...also the thought "square pegs into rounds holes" crossed my mind.

Whatever it is, it's nice...(By the way, love your 5th wheel pic on other post)

My first impression was also marble or even some kind of pale and banded aragonite.
Difficult to say for sure. :)
