Just read in popular science archies using drones with infrared cameras found a Pueblo, is this the future of treasure hunting?
Interesting concept. It would be very useful. Wish I had a drone.
I'm sure someone will want to stomp all over us if we start using them to TH, they just can't stand to see someone having fun!
The FAA may outlaw the average person from flying powerful drones high or over certain area's but like jaywalking they have to be caught. If their "unmarked" including fingerprints it will be hard to trace back to a owner for prosecution if one was "captured". I'll just shoot'em down hovering around / over my home. But they would be a useful tool if set up properly for overhead searches.
They would indeed. You would have access to areas you can't get into yourself! A really good TH'ing tool!
As with ALL technology now days it would have a built in ID and probably a chip that allows it to be taken over and controlled by certain Gov agencies if they wanted to.
These better be able to navigate themselves, if you've ever been in traffic around a major city you 'll know why.

Well anything that has a market demand there will be folks who will fill the nitch "down in their barn". And this includes bypassing "built in ID" and any required "chip". It probably wouldn't be hard to take a good "toy" and upgrade it to be one hell of a drone. I'm working on my new Golden horseshoe drone at this time.
As it is now .....
Farmers and real-estate agents are forbidden to use drones to help with their work.
Think about it.
Well, I have see a lot working on equipment at gov. locations. The gov. has been using IF and GPR on planes and sats for many years. The La Cross series of sats with GPR has found many tunnels under our southern border. I know planes have scanned areas of the SW. Yep, seen a lot most I can't talk about. Frank...-

You used to work for the gov? I had a family member and he worked for the government. He had to call and check in to the higher ranks. He said if we knew everything that happened in america we would not be able to sleep at night. This was when I was young like 20 years ago and one day he just dissapeared no one ever heard from him.
