"BODY OF POMONA MAN FOUND IN FIRE DEBRIS.
Pomona, Cal., Nov. 26 - The charred body of Bernard MacCurry, 66, wealthy walnut and citrus grower, was found in the debris of his home near Pomona today.
A coal oil can, with blown out sides, was found nearby. This, officers said, indicated MacCurry had used the fluid in an attempt to light a fire. They said they were not disregarding the belief of neighbors that MacCurry had kept a considerable sum of money in his home." (Acticle in full)
