Thanks for your reply, it does look that way. Tree is green so far every year. Its actually on my camping lot near man made lake next to where I drive in. Hope to build there soon. Thanks for looking.

The first 2 pics are LOADED with signs.. I would detect that part of tree because the eyes on the left side of the carving are looking into it, at the far right corner there is a squirrel perched on the edge of the carving. Squirrels live inside trees, might be something inside of this one. If no signal on carving, I would detect the rest of the tree to be sure. Hope this helps.

Thanks Tixiercat , sorry took so long to get back to you. I have a aluminum 24 ft ladder . will get back to you and let you know something. 29 degrees outside today. there is a shadow small owl 130 yards away at 1700 degrees among other signs from this tree. I think you are right or very close. Going to try tommorrow hope latter will reach.

It's alright. We all have other obligations. I hope we are correct and you find the big one! Let me know what happens and I will try to help if not. Good luck!! ;)

I always say when in doubt detect and dig but this does not look like a marker to me.

looks like a large '' W '' which if that is true, means vault according to dign4it. Sorry I can't get the photo back that I marked for you.

In the last photo you are looking directly at the tree with the hole in it. If you turn and walk straight away from that tree is there a heel or something with some elevationin that direction. If so go in that direction until you are at Eye level with the tree with the hole in it. When you get there look around and see what you find. Generally there should be some sort of a clue as to what you are looking for.

I have found that especially on tree symbols.. to look for variations of the #3. It is usually laying down, but take a flat/straight edge and place on picture lining up the ends of the top and bottom prongs of the 3. Then follow the line in either direction to either a cache or next symbol.
