The E-trac and I went for a little walk on a nail infested beach where I found some old toasted coppers before.

I found this tarnished silver ring. After a bit of research, it seems to be trench art, from WWI (maybe WWII?). On the inside it reads, "Liberté, Egalité, Franternité - Republique Francaise". It rang up as a solid 9-42/43 through the null.

I also found this Indian head, near the top of the rocky beach. I was bummed out that it wasn't in better shape, but I did manage to get a date off of it after a few soaks. It is in terrible shape.

Awesome find!

My Dad's best friend's father-in-law was a WWI vet and in his "down time" in France during the war, he would make coin rings from French silver coins.
He showed me one of the ones he made during the Great War and it looks very similar to the one you found. I was so impressed by the way his turned
out so I tried making some myself from 1964 JFK half-dollars when I was 14. . . I must have ruined 3 or 4 before I made one I liked LOL.

Finding something like that is what history is all about 8-).
