I had heard of an 1812 era military camp deep in the woods on a local creek. I was told it was about 2-3 miles back. That's a lot of land to cover and unfortunately I did not find it. I did pick up a few creek trinkets; lead whizzer, two crusty coppers, a shingling hatchet and some a piece of decorative brass. I'll try again next week.
