I shot another armadillo the other afternoon, yeah, they are in MO now.I mentioned it to the propane delivery guys and they said they were told that the armadillos here are infected with TB and that your dog or animals could get it if they touch any of the blood.Anyone know for sure?I may have to start burying them when I shoot them if true.

I heard of the leprosy thing. I'll have to do some research. Carville, LA had a hospital just for leprosy folks.

Never heard of a armadillo carrying TB.

I know that they carry Mycobacterium leprae on their footpads.

TB is a very close relative being Mycobacterium tuberculosis and look very similar in tests.

TB is spread in droplet form (airborne) from mucus and phlegm.

Interesting for sure but have not heard of any confirmed Armadillo TB cases.

I guess it would be OK to kill them as long as you don't let them use your hankerchief
to blow there little noses in.

yes rotting away slowly bit by bit is no picnic -- theres a reason they were make to yell "unclean, unclean" whenever they got near folks --to prevent its spreading
