I am new to this hobby and am purchasing me and my son Metal Detectors to have a father son hobby. I was wondering if there are any other people in our area that treasure hunt? So this is a call out to any hunters in the west Alabama area that would not if 2 novice hunter go along with them and help get us started.

I'm just north of B'ham in Fultondale. Sorry, don't have any leads in Tuscaloosa area, but with a little research, it shouldn't be too hard. Seams like I spend more time researching than out digging, but that's a big part of it.

Since the tornado their has been a lot of construction going on in that area... I would be trying to get permission to hunt some of those places and any place by the river... I live in Columbus, MS. Good luck!

Congrats on a great hobby choice Tom! im new to it too so i dont have any leads in your area. im in Tuscumbia up in the northwest corner of the state. maybe some time, if you're up this way, we can see what we can dig up!
