Tv show's are targeting us

is it just me or do other people on here think that the show's ("American Diggers")and (Diggers) are show's that the Archaeologist and History Society and the others that are against metal detecting may have put on these show's to target metal detecting.who in there right mind would take a backhoe and dig someones yard up just to find a relic, think about it,,,there has never been anything on tv that was more intense about a hobby then these 2 show's,how do we know that the 2 guy's from digger's (in a secret side of them)are not archaeologist or have some type of ties to them,or the guys from american diggers may have a hand in it to,no one knows what they would do to make a buck, they are useing these show's against us pretty soon we will not be digging anywhere,,,,,,,,,,,,just think about it!

As horrible as the shows are, I don't believe for a second that there is some big conspiracy. Who would take a backhoe for metal detecting? Stupid TV execs who script fake fights and explosions and all the other BS. Look at the garbage on tv like hardcore pawn, and lizard lick towing. It's all scripted and fake. It wouldnt be so bad if they didn't present it as being "real".

The only thing real on any TV "reality" show is the fact that all viewers are really being brainwashed. This in show biz is known as "entertainment." As for the metal detecting shows, they have to be sensational or they'll soon get dropped. It's all about views and ratings.

The best strategy to use if one wishes to see a show dropped is to not watch it. These detecting show producers couldn't care less what THers think of their shows. We only represent a tiny and insignificant percentage of the potential viewing audience. The real audience has not a clue what our hobby is all about. What they want to see is drama and a possible way to easy riches.

Like mentioned above, I don't think it's a conspiracy thing we're seeing. It's simply about supply and demand. Due to the economy there's a tremendous demand for "get rich quick schemes." People today are generally frustrated and disappointed with their lives. Almost everyone wants to be something other than what they are.
