I've almost given up on this site but I was told to keep trying ;D - especially since I'm still relatively new to detecting. I did find a 1795 large cent here before but nothing else particularly noteworthy. So many iron nails! But today I decided to change my setting around a bit and raised the discrimination much higher than I usually have it and the last things I found this morning were these two cool buttons which I think date to the 1830s. ("Ives Kendrick & Co Exta" and "Rich Gold Color") :hello2:

Now I am inspired - there has to be more to come! Right? :D

Also found pieces to a decorative thin - copper? I think - relic that if anyone has any ideas what it could be please let me know. Harmonica pieces, pottery, old iron buckles, knife handle and awesome nails :laughing7: amongst other artifacts.

Foundation I think goes back to around the 1770s - here it is - if you can see it:

Nice finds. Looks like you are in a promising spot for sure. Keep at it.

Can we see some pics of the front of the buttons up close?

Yep Bramblefinds , You are in some early, 1800's territory, and has the potential to produce some even older finds if you put the effort into clearing out some of the newer stuff to get to the deeper , faint signals . Buttons are beauties and may be slightly older than 1830's . The busted up pieces could be the base of a brass or copper ,candle holder . :icon_scratch: Work that place over ..I bet there are some nice coins hiding . Don't forget to stop by my threads . I dig old homesites !! Nice work CMDdawg

You are the "woman" Bramblefind! :notworthy: That's an impressive hunt. :icon_thumright:
The pieces of copper to me look to be parts of a ceiling molding
that you would find in the sitting room or dining room area of a house. :icon_scratch:
