A friend of mine invited me to hunt with her today at an old site that she had researched. We weren't finding much of anything except a lot of modern shot gun shells. I got a faint signal and assumed it was another gun shell, then saw a bunch of pottery. Dug deeper and out popped a king George copper. Before filling the hole I swung the coil again and realized there was another King George copper. I couldn't believe it. One is a 1745 King George II and the other is 1723 King George the I or II? I am assuming the I because its older. I have dug Large coppers 4 days in a row. I have never been this lucky detecting before. My friend was very nice to invite me and I am bringing her to one of my hot spots this week.
Hope you are all as lucky as I have been. :icon_thumleft:

My Colonial blood would be pumping hard over that dig. Great hunt! Those pottery sherds are screaming 18th century. :icon_thumleft:
