Well it's not really a coin from 1854 :laughing7: . It had me going at first . It was a +84 at 6 inches and all I saw was Lady Liberty ! As it turns out it is off a vintage money clip and says Kellogg & Co. on it . Maybe from the 1950's ? The other great finds were two more silver rings for my treasure chest :icon_thumright::icon_thumright: . The one ring was a good 5 inches deep and had a VDI of +77 . The 2nd one was just below the grass line and was a +82 . They are #128 and #129 for the year . Also found a 1959 penny and a small dog whistle . Total clad was $8.31 for two hours .
Also added a picture of one beautiful Stingray Corvette parked next to Ryan , eaglefore . :headbang:

Congrats on the silver rings, and the "almost" Liberty coin! I'm pretty sure the stingray won't fit in your finds pouch! But that was a nice find too! HH!

great finds, and as always I'm amazed at the amount of rings that turn up under your coil. seems like it would be stupid for anyone in your area to ever buy a ring because it's evident they will just lose it. the vette looks like a '68

That would have been nice if it was a real coin. I found the exact same cross ring earlier this year. I think that is the second ring we have both found.

I really like both those rings ! Is the stone a garnet ? I saw one of those Kellogg coins on the canadianmetaldetecting.com site recently -
