I am accustomed to receiving N. F. String boxes with paper-wrapped rolls. But my last order consisted on a different type of box, (Brinks perhaps?) with all of the coins in shrink wrap plastic tubes.

The box produced some interesting results:

1938-D, 1939, 1940, 1941-S (small 'S'), 1942-D, 1945-S, 1947 (3), 1948 (2), 1948-D, 1952-D (2), 1953 (3), 1953-D (2), 1954, 1954-D (2), 1956, 1956-D, 1957-D (4), 1958-D (6), 1959-D (2).

Also:

Great Britain 1 new penny, 1979, 1990
Costa Rica Five Colones, 2008
A very corroded zinc Lincoln cent

The 1938-D and 1945-S filled slots in my 1938-1961 set.

My set now lacks 1938-S, 1939-D, 1944-S, 1945-D, and 1950-D.

The 1938-D was, alas, a bit corroded, it would otherwise be VF or so. So, it is a filler until a better specimen is found.

Thanks and happy hunting.

Nice find on the 38-D and War nicks.

Have yet to find a 38, 39 or 50 D in about $1k in nickels.
