Two Pieces -One puzzle --

Found part 1 --the circle a month ago, the second piece (the handle?) came a few days ago--- same area hunt--- They fit like a glove-- question I have is what in the heck is it--- it is Brass and overall length about 4 inches and width about 2 inches. It is about 1/2 inch wide and commonly 3/16 inch thick thru whole thing. Is it door knocker? Is it part of Horse and Carraige --- Help --lol
