Re: Tyre Track Finds...

Great finds

I have always wanted to ask you what you do with all of your finds? Do you have them displayed or are they stored away? If you have some displays I am sure that we would all love to see pictures if you have any (and don't mind posting them).

I keep them all (other than giving a %age to the farmers that are interested)

My displays are in the local museum, not open very often & when it is I'm out hunting, so a picture of them is unlikely. Also just helped out a local project that's doing a video on the local Roman Town, many of my finds will be pictured & on video for a local resource (mostly schools etc..)

Thanks, I thought so as well. I've not seen another one like it, even in my books.

I forgot to explain that the ceramic is stuck on a copper-alloy back, which is why I heard it.

Good for a field I thought we had pretty much finished with. We had 32 records yesterday & only 34 from that field in the whole of last year :o

Re: Tyre Track Finds...

Cufflink is very cool and not bad at all.

Re: Tyre Track Finds...

They are what I call 'Scrappies', which are not good enough for the Album. :icon_thumright:

Nice finds. The Romans must have had weak pockets.

Pockets are a very modern invention
