Here are my better finds over the last 6 hunts . About 11 hours of digging . The best find came this morning from a school field at 5-6 inches deep . It was a strong +86 on my M6 . I had just been digging a bunch of quarters so I thought it would be another , I was very wrong . It turns out to be a sterling silver U.S. Navy ring ! It looks like a class ring . Very worn down . It is number 55 ring for the year !
The rest of the finds range from Wheats , tokens , foreign coins and some junk jewelery . The Wheats are 1948 , 1951s and 1952d . Also found a Susan B. dollar . Total clad for all hunts is $31.11 ! :headbang:

The Mexican coin ($100-pesos) features Venustiano Carranza, one of the major players in the Mexican Revolution (1910 -1920). The composition is aluminum-bronze and the mintage (looks like the date is 1988) was 433M+.

That is a very nice looking ring! I wish I could find something like that. No brainer who I'd give it to - - - - - my Father of course!!! He was in the Navy...

I hope it is better than the one I found--one of those crap rings that lets you proudly show your service- for just $19.95 in the back of the newspaper.
Rang up wonderfully, but was just another junk ring. Hope it is a good one for you!

PS--they come in all 5 service flavors, and you can get a high school when you GED. Only the finest!
