Ulysses S. Grant Campaign Token

A little slow in getting this out there...
Grant campaign token the most interesting find this weekend. Back states "I propose to fight it out on this line...if it takes all summer".
A little worn and a bit of corrosion on the back, but overall in pretty good shape considering how long it has probably been in the ground. It is my understanding that these were produced with the hole in them so they could be worn on one's clothing.



Weekend finds...

1868 U.S. Grant Campaign Token
Minnie Ball
Copper or brass ring...possibly old wedding band
1887 Indian head cent, extra crispy.
A couple 50s wheats

The Minnie Ball measures over .5" in diameter. Don't see too many of these up here.
The ring was found in my own yard which I've been over a gazillion times.

Also crossed paths with JMastny78 (?). Always good to run into another Tnetter.

Nice History dig !!! I looked the campaign token up to see the value, an antique website had one for sale for $157.00, it looked to be in about the same shape as yours, maybe a tad shinier.
