Thanks Chris, The Chipmunks and squirrels are the friendliest. The rabbits and doves usually seem pretty wild, but most of the small birds hang around close when I'm outdoors. I've had Chickadee's try to get the suet while I'm putting it in the feeder.

I'm working on trying to get the chipmunks to get a little closer.....like taking food out of my hand.:laughing7:

Red squirrels out this way can be pretty friendly.

funny thing when I finally "squirrel proofed" my feeder . the birds wouldn't feed there either ... I had to let the squirrels eat the sunflowers seeds and dump the other grain onto the ground before the birds would feed --its like they were "unionized" --we squirrel get the sunflower seeds but we scatter the other stuff on the ground for everyone else for easy feeding.

chuckle...thanks for the post:thumbsup:........my feeder is visited by skunks, coons, a couple of diferent kinds of squirrels a multitude of bird species and several kinds of raptors that feed on the birds. I had issues with 6-10 pound koi disappearing out of my pond leaving no sign untill I saw a nice Golden Eagle sitting on the pond edge with a nice 8 or so pounder, my last one. Since that day I only have gold fish. The gold fish breed like humans and keep the snakes and others supplied in meat. Don't think they get big enough for the Eagles that show up in the winter
