I got out to my girlfriend's friend's girlfriends' parents place today for a couple of hours... if that makes any sense. Great people.

I was pleasantly surprised with the hunt. No silver came out of it... but, I have a feeling it will cough up a few. I gave the majority of the finds to the landowner, as he is a history buff. Sorry for the un-cleaned pics. Next time... you know what happens. :tongue3:

The old farmhouse is only late 1800's, but they tell me that the land was occupied by at least two families before that.

1769 King George III Ireland Half Cent

1818 Matron Head Large Cent

1884 Canada LC

Jew's Harp

Thimble. (Thought it was silver... not sure after looking at the end of it)

Spoon? Any idea on the age of this?

It's a lovely road...

.... to future finds!

Happy hunting.

Nice finds! Like the clipped Hibernia copper and the Jews Harp. I would say that place has some good potential.

It was one of my oldest coppers, but I didn't hesitate. There will be plenty more. He also knows everyone in the area...

He plans on making a case with the arrowheads he found on land.

I kept the coronet! I had to have something for the box after many fly bites.

Great recoveries. It's always nice to meet new people and make new friends. That KG is a nice coin, regardless of being clipped. I bet there was another site there, perhaps on the same site as the newer house. Wherever you start finding the buttons you will know.

The intact jew's harp is really great. I've come close, but never found a totally complete one.

Cheers,

Buck
