Hit a few spots yesterday and found a couple keepers, But the highlight of the hunt was digging a ladies compact case and giving it a shake and thinking that its only a mirror inside and then opening it to find an Indian head cent in beautiful condition!!!!!! All I did to condition the Indian was soak it in warm lemon juice and blot it with a Q tip. Turns out that the 1905 Indian that I dug has doubling on the legends on the reverse of the coin. Thanks for looking HH Thanks for looking HH

Very nice.I always open those compacts looking for coins but no luck so far.

Nice assortment of relics. Love the story about the compact. And that IH is pristine!

I knew it! That's a very cool Indian, and such nice condition...

Very good outing Coop, man that Indian head is in terrific shape from being in the tin all that time, Congrats :icon_thumleft:

Nice video, congrats on the finds. you really got the IH cleaned up nice! :icon_thumright:

First of all congrats on the excellent IH and the silver...I also wanted to thank you.

Today when I woke up I took the Nook with me to take care of business before I started getting ready for work...

I read a few posts on T-Net and this one happen to be one of them. Fast forward to lunchtime and I decide it is not too cold out so I will hit a local park for awhile. Nothing much turning up but then I dig a ladies compact. It was a little banged up but I pried it open and I see broken glass, caked make-up and dirt but no coins. I throw it into the trash pouch then something made me look again. I dumped the stuff out of the compact and there was a 1893 V Nickle in the mixture. It is nowhere near as nice shape as yours but I will take it considering it almost went into the trash can.

Thanks again for sharing.
