Hey all,

Was able to get out for first time in a while and it did not disappoint. Was also able to introduce a friend to the hobby as well. We found a cellar hole that surprisingly did not seem to be hunted already. Anyway I got a very worn copper, a treble gilt gold colour button and a thimble. I cannot Id copper, but posted some pics in case anyone might be able to. I think I see lettering...

Thanks for looking and happy hunting!

Sometimes if you take some mineral oil and rub it on lightly then turn the coin at a slight angle you can pick up some details.

That thimble has some age! Looks hand punched holes?

Thank you! I will definitely look into. It’s funny because I have been so focused on trying to identify the coin and haven’t really looked into thimble.

And yet even more incredible finds here in Mass- I'm planning on moving south in a few years when I retire, I may have to reconsider! GL going forward!
