Unusual chair

Going through our parents things.We found this old chair! Anyone know what year it was made? Seems very old no hardware on it

I’ll go out on a limb and give my best guess. With only one photo and angle it is difficult at best. The design leads me to suspect late Georgian, or more likely mid-Victorian. Georgian ended circa 1830
and Victorian ran 1815-1914. I’d guess the chair is about an 1880-ish.
I can’t rule out a reproduction. The scroll work on the back and vertical support risers for the arms make me wonder about a reproduction piece.
More photos showing other angles and details would most likely help.

I was wondering the same thing about parents origin (the chair's provenance).

I know poppies were a common motif in the Arts and Crafts period....

... but IDK if the style of the chair is considered "Arts and Crafts" or not... :dontknow:

We got this at an estate sale in Wisconsin. I was wondering what that was it does look like opium poppies
