Yesterday my 3 yr old grandson was at our house and my wife was babysitting while I was at work. He went into our bedroom as he sometimes does. Upon exiting he had two pennies that he apparently got off my dresser.

Wife noticed and was telling him to put them up when he threw them in the air, opened his mouth and in they plopped. She told him to spit them out and he ran off to the kitchen. She followed and found one penny. She asked him if he had swallowed the other and he said yes.

Later, we found other pennies in the area he was at and were unsure if he had really swallowed one.

I decided to try my MD on his tummy and sure enough while he was standing up and away from all metal I got a nice penny sound from his lower tummy. Well, at least he probably swallowed one from prior 1982 by the good tone.

We called the DR and they said not to worry less he exhibits any problems, as most everything come out in the end.

I really hope he passes it. That is one heck of a use of the machine!!!! I've used mine to find bullets/broadheads in deer and staples/nails in trees being sent to the mill, but this one is a new use I have to remember ;D

Once he passes it you should hole it then but it on a necklace...he will have a lucky penny for life.

That's barbaric you should be ashamed. A plug cutter is more humane :laughing9:

If you cut a plub, make sure that the roots are intact, so everything will continue to "grow properly"
when reset.
Little kids.....test everything with their mouths/tongues. (I was going to say, "humorous story," but
I think I will wait until you update the post with a "it passed ok.")

That's actually really good.
Those zinc pennies are not the thing you want to ingest. If it passes quickly, no problem.
If kept long enough to where the copper can corrode off, the zinc can become quite toxic.
But the kids tend to poop out any and everything, not like a lot of us older folks!
Happy Holidays!

This is one of the funniest things I have read on here in a while. I want to know if the pin pointer worked.

I know some one who found a large wood screw while changing her two year old son. Not sure how he passed it with out messing up his insides but there were no problems.
