I went today to mail a couple pounds worth of foreign coins to Wayne1956 for his coin hunt and took a look see in the "Leave a Penny/take a penny" dishes.

Over here at the US bases, We round to the nearest 5 cents and typically don't use pennies. The only folks who do are the US Post Office the Bank, and the Credit Union so when folks go in there and get pennies for change, they typically leave them there in the dishes for others to use.

Anyhow, I pulled quite a nice little load out! 1948 wheatie, 72, 3x 73, 3x 74, 3x 76, & 80, 2009 cabin and a 2010D.

Some will go into the 'rainy day' copper fund, two will go into the collection for the boys and another will be used as social lubrication and donated to a local teller who does pennies and is keeping an eye out for me, for silvers at the window...
